What is the Issue

The new butterfly design as advertised by Apple is supposed to be better and responsive than previous generation keyboards. In reality, the issue has affected a large user base of users of MacBook Pros. MacBook Pro is supposed to be Apple’s lineup for professional users. And having a faulty keyboard design on their professional range of laptops is not what expected from Apple. Especially when Apple is charging a premium for the laptops.

Faulty macbook pro KeyboardThe main issue lies in the design of the keyboards which allows more dust particles to collect and deposit. This causes faulty keystrokes and unregistered keystrokes. Furthermore, the replacement cost of the keyboards is close to $700 which is very high considering it is Apple’s fault to choose the design. The keyboard is one of the most important parts of a laptop.

The lawsuit identifies Apple as the culprit of using a flawed design that forces the users to replace the keyboards for a premium price. It also points Apple as careless and not taking user’s complains in consideration. The lawsuit demands Apple take full responsibility for the flaw in their design and acknowledge it publically. They also demand Apple replace the keyboards of the faulty units free of cost. Additionally, they also demand Apple reimburse the users who were forced to get replacement keyboards for such insane price.
