Huawei has got the attention of tech enthusiasts all over the globe with their latest P20. Now they are set forward to announce their new Honor 10 in India with the latest Kirin 970 processor. Honor 9 did not make it to India but the specs were very impressive. Honor 10 seems to be a perfect device that can rival the likes of OnePlus 6 and others. Interestingly, the OnePlus 6 launch is on 16th May just one day before the launch. It can truly be a rival to the upcoming OnePlus 6 with the specs and display. The Honor 10 seems to be a pretty powerful device on paper.

huawei-honor-10The Kirin 970 is a very capable processor that we have seen with the Huawei’s P20 Pro. Yes, the processor is same as the worldwide acclaimed P20 Pro for its design and cameras. Huawei Honor 10 will support the usual good thing of Honor devices like a fast and efficient processor, 6GB of RAM, a high megapixel dual camera, and the latest infamous Notch Display. It is becoming the trend of 2018 after iPhone X made sure people accept the notch. We have to bear with the notch for some time it seems with more and more manufacturers moving forward with the Notch display. The cameras will come with the Huawei’s new AI cameras which will add more functionality.

Price and Launch

The device is already launched in China for 2,599 CYN which comes to approx INR 27,000 or $400. We can expect it to be around the 30-35K mark in India and around $450-500 in the other markets. We can expect the Honor 10 to come to the global market as P20 Pro didn’t. For this price, it is a direct rival to OnePlus 6 which is expected to be priced around 37K INR or $550.

Both of the devices will come with large FHD+ displays, dual cameras, a minimum of 6GB RAM and fast charging. Although Kirin 970 is a very capable processor, the Snapdragon 845 seems to be powerful of the two. We have to wait and see how well the Huawei Honor 10 will perform head to head with the OnePlus 6.

What are your views? Will you buy the Honor 10 for slightly lesser price and close to similar specs or go with the more expensive powerhouse OnePlus 6?
