How To Unlock Alcatel Idol 5 6060C​ & Install TWRP 3.6.2_9 – Easy Guide

How To Unlock Alcatel Idol 5

1. Download, unzip and launch boot mode tool (download).
2. Power off your 6060C. While holding Volume Down plug in device to PC.Now continuing to hold Volume Down press power until the device starts and release power. Once you see fastboot at the bottom of the device you can release Volume Down.
3. To confirm the device is connected in fastboot mode or not, type: fastboot devices.
4. Once confirmed, type the following command to unlock the bootloader: fastboot oem unlock.
5. The device should automatically reboot, if not then reboot it manually.
6. Since the device resets completely, you will need to re-enable USB debugging for the next recovery installation process.

How To Install TWRP Recovery 3.6.2_9 on Alcatel Idol 5

1. Download TWRP.
2. Power off your 6060C. While holding Volume Down plug in device to PC.Now continuing to hold Volume Down press power until the device starts and release power. Once you see fastboot at the bottom of the device you can release Volume Down.
3. To confirm the device is connected in fastboot mode or not, type: fastboot devices.
4. Once confirmed, type the following command to flash TWRP Recovery: fastboot flash recovery twrp-x.x.x-x-simba6_cricket.img. [Note: Replace TWRP file name with your downloaded file name]
5. The device should automatically reboot, if not then reboot it manually.

Tip: To boot into recovery first turn off your Alcatel Idol 5 and then press and hold Volume Up and Power button together until the bootloader appears, then release the buttons. Use the volume buttons to scroll to “RECOVERY” and press Power to select.
